Selecting the right spirit and finishing in smaller quarter casks gives great results in younger whiskies and has become a theme in many of our bottlings. This was one of our most popular casks – sadly long gone. This whisky spent 6 years in a hogshead before being split into first fill Oloroso Sherry quarter casks for a further 14 months of “finishing”.

Colour: Deep Russet Brown.
Nose: Treacle pudding, figs, prunes, blackcurrant jam and toasted almonds.
Palate: Raisins, plum jam, bitter dark chocolate, festive spice and toasted sweetened nuts.
Finish: Long and lingering for something this youthful. Cinnamon and nutmeg enveloped by the wonderful dark sweetness.
